TGIF!

Chris slept last night. It's amazing the difference a day makes. We are hopeful that his nasogastric tube will be removed today.

Chris is allowed to chew gum to get his plumbing going. Amber bought him his first five packs and then Kelly, Maria, and Leah bought out a candy store. It's incredible how all of us are literally tripping over ourselves, and each other to help this extraordinary man.

Time to change out his footgear. These are designed to help him maintain his muscle mass in his feet. The boots are on for four hours and off for two. We then switch to the leg pumps which keeps the circulation moving in his legs.

I am convinced that sleeping in a chair and contorting your body into position is indeed as beneficial as yoga. :) Told Chris if only he wasnt in such good shape they would have given him the big boy bed and we would all be sleeping family style.
