Today was moving day!
After seventeen days at Presby Hospital Chris was transferred to the spine clinic for rehabilitation at UPMC Mercy Hospital. The sense of relief and hope is enormous. The care that Chris received, the expertise of the nursing staff, their availability and generosity, cannot be quantified or ever repaid. They are very special people and their compassion and love for Chris comes as no surprise because all of us and so many of you, are a little in love with him too. Special blessings for Heather, Kristy, Christie, Molly, and Jessica. You are family now.
Chris has already been hard at work at rehab and spent the evening being put through the paces. He ended his busy day with his first shower since March 3rd. Who thought the sponge bath would ever be surpassed. Sleep well tonight sweet brother, good night you prince of Pittsburgh, you king of the comeback.
